Well with my winnings of late,Ive rewarded myself by booking package to watch Spartak Moscow v Aston Villa in the uefa cup late in February. Ive always wanted since a kid go to Moscow and swore if Aston Villa played there, I will be there. So I will put some pictures up on here to brighten this blog UP!
Well i picked up approximately 1k just from leader boards last three weeks but the week i lost i was a bit myth ed. It was the first week of December and I was unsure if leader boards wear going to continue, so I rang up Betfair and they said they have stopped. So i played on full tilt for the rest of the day, I logged on to Betfair on Tuesday and leader boards were still running! So i rang up ad they said I'm very sorry but we miss informed you! So i was 36hours behind. I was unable to catch Gnasher 8 up, who had a 10k start and although he got a record point to beat me, I could have certainly gone higher with the 36hours help! But never mind, fair play Gnasher 8 for putting the effort in. Plus ASton Villa nailed his team Everton, so i got my revenge there with a dramatic winner from Ashely Young after Lescott equalized in stoppage time!
People who ask me who is better, you or Gnasher8 at super turbos. Well to put it simply Iam! I have a very slight edge, maybe 3-4percent and its purely on hand ranges to chip stacks at late blinds. IT is quite obvious at 3 handed bubble high blind play its best to be aggressive.
But if chip stacks are 2800,1600,1600 and sb and bb are on 1600 (blids 200) 2800 passes Gnasher would push something like 107 into my bb. IN my view it is not correct 2 push junk at this stage, although i would push a high range of hands from sb, pushing junk will lose u money long term in these circumstances. Now if u had800 chips(200blids), I would agree the fold equity to your blinds getting lower its worth the risk to pressure the other lower stack with junk hands.
Anyway the next week there is more confusion on Betfair. Yes Im comfortably leading the leader board then there is the introduction of crazy coin flips heads up!
You get one chip and your automatically all in first hand. So 123fold and tersa8 play like 500 of these in 4hours and make like 20000points!
So i say hang on a minute you cant allow points to be scored for a game wear you do not have to make a decesion, riase fold or call. Not even Betfair could have a leaderboard that has a champion at poker who has never had to make a poker decesion. Well they agreed and to tehre credit ad quickly stopped these tournys from being part of the point struture and it was a comfortable win.
The third week, i took a couple of days off ad still won, I let a guy called I play bad come close to me, but if he ever got near, I would just step it up and pull clear again. He did not have the game to compete so I was never overduly worried.
Well have a great Christmas, apart from all you FISH, hope you lose all your Xmas money to me! Will update figures next month.

4000 profit-3leaderboards won in 3 weeks-
Ok- Before i ramble and slag off half the poker community off. WE have reached $4,000 profit!
1,900profit sit ad goes,
1,300 leader board prizes (3x1st 350plus 2nd)
800 rake back and a couple of mtt wins.
Well to win three leader boards at small stakes takes serious dedication and is a good sign that the 100k profit is achievable! All i can say is that GNASHER8 GAVE ME a serious run for my money. Luckily when i got 7,000 points ahead on Saturday,he gave up, which is just as well as I needed Sunday off! There were times when I was close to hitting the poker "wall" but my desire and inner strength came through and i kept playing and playing and asking Gnasher the questions by playing game after game.
It is a good sign that I worked hard for this prize as it is hopefully a good indicator that I can reach the 100k by hard work.
In the betfair poker world, Duffs has left the site! Oh what fooking shame!
He is all what is wrong with England and in my opinion is a middle class twerp!
The plan for December is to make antha 4,000 and then start the new year with 8,000 bucks and make this to 100k.

Yes he should fold as he shouldn't go out level one on a coin flip when he can out play donkey a through the tournament!
So think abt that in the early stages of sst and heads up- don't push a draw etc if you know ur opponent will bled chips to you in game.

TIPS FOR HEADS Up-Progress- And why Wulfman is a small time CHARLIE!
Well it has been a steady month on the tables. The quest has reached 2,200. This month we have made 1000 from stt games at low stakes and some extra money from rake back,leader boards ad a couple of good cashes on mtt.
Last week i came 2ND in the leader boards. I was beaten by a small time Charlie called Wulfman. He is a German guy and he is an average player and what makes the difference between an average player and a class act like me is decision making.
OK Wulfman V Cucumber99 (games we play on same table which has been many). I comfortably beat him at higher cashes in these games. One reason I do ca be illustrated by this hand. 20blinds Wolfman raises under the gun jj, i push with qq ad he calls. Ok he spikes a j. But he knows how I play- What would I re raise him with 20blinds- aa,kk,qq,ak- This is why he will always stay at low stake level and this is why I OWN him in our clashes.
The plan for the next 3 weeks is build up our bankroll a little more through small stakes and leader boards and then attack the medium stakes in DECEMBER.
I plan to play allot of heads up.
Some tips for heads up play.
Try to play the exact opposite of your opponent. IF your opponent is aggressive, play a tight aggressive game low blinds, you will catch him at some point and he will donk a lot of chips off when you hit. Especially if you’re calling in position.
Do not play an aggressive player out of position (fold hands like a2-a9) early doors. They will thrive if you play marginal hands out of position. Stop the oxygen and then aggressively with a hand ask the question.
For more advanced players, think about bet size. If your opponent thinks your week bets mean week, once he has cottoned, he will re raise you allot to test you. So fold a couple and if you hit a monster play it week and he is sure to pay you off. As he can’t wait to out smart you and it makes it difficult for him to make to many big raises to your value bets.

WHAT I THINK OF ARISTON AND GEOFF CC ON LINE POKER BROKER
Well my first thoughts of making the 100k was to go through on line poker sponsorship broker Geoffcc! Now this company gives sponsorship to online poker players. Well they offer me a sponsorship, which they should as I have a winning record and can be researched for years.
So I thought this was a good way to make 100k as I can play stakes above my bankroll.
Now these guys are going 2 take 50percent of profits, which is reasonable as they are putting up the cash!
So I join and first few days I break even! Now after 3days the boss man Matthew Firth writes to me questioning my commitment to the scheme! Now I was fuming, I think he made a mistake as he thought as I broke even I had not been playing much!
So I wrote to him and put the record straight saying I had been playing 4-6hours per day and was gambling sensibly and didn’t appreciate him questioning my commitment without checking the facts! I was very polite and I think it’s reasonable that we get it straight that I’m committed and why im playing low steaks at first to build a surplus.
Now my mentor ARISTON wrote to me threatening me to withdraw my comments and not back chat the boss! WTF-im a winning player and would have made them thousands of pounds over time! If I can’t express my opinion and offer an explanation then I do want to be part of this scheme! Which is a shame as it would be beneficial to both parties.
Anyway ARISTON sacked me as although he recognised my potential to the business, he didn’t like my attitude! Ummmm I look at a lot of successful players JAMIE GOLD, SCOTTY NGUYEN, MIKE THE MOUTH, - these guys have bad attitudes. But they win money and as poker is about taking peoples money, not being MR NICE GUY I find the response strange!
I do not think there is alot of hope for this business if you sack wining players for having an opinion. When i worked in the NHS i could always go to my boss and talk through problems, well there man management skill are pretty dire to take offence to me wanting to illustate my passion for the game.
To be fair my attitude was fine, the response to the boss was to show I was committed and passionate about poker and would not accept my commitment being questioned through inaccurate comments.
Anyway there business will be poorer for losing me and it gives me the opportunity to keep the lot!

Hi well there hundreds of these blogs and most die a death with there bankroll! So what makes me different? Well I'm an OK poker player and been grinding it out for years. However its time for no more excuses I'm going to build 100k from a small starting bank.
I'm starting with 646dollars in a poker stars account and 60pounds in a bet fair account. I make that about 400 pounds.
Plan of action is I have good knowledge base on the tennis and football, but our first aim is to make the bankroll one thousand pounds and I'm going to try to achieve this through playing 10dollar poker stt goes.
I set up a new account on Betfair and can be tracked on sharkscope.com as Cucumber1. i deposited 10pounds three days ago and its already 60pounds. Pokers stars stands at 646 after initial one hundred deposit so the signs are good!
But they will be bad days ahead and it will be interesting to see if i can conquer the demons that are ahead!
